Celebrating the 40th Anniversary of the World Environment Day
Today, 5th June 2012 is the 40th anniversary of the World Environment Day (known as WED). WED is a program run by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) to make all the people in the world to recognize the demand to pick a positive action for the environments. The 5th June is the time when the United Nations Conference about the Human Environment started; it was started from 5th to 16th June 1972.
Every year, the WED is organized by some separate countries and in the 2012, Brazil will hold the event. The WED in Brazil is already forecast will be one of the most biggest yet significant events in the United Nation’s records since the event also commemorate the 20th anniversary of the first Earth Summit which was take place in Rio in 1992.
For the 2012, the WED’s subject will be Green Economy: Does it include you?
